Paradise Center, Inc. is a non-profit organization in Fort Worth, Texas that operates a community center for adults with severe, persistent, and chronic mental illnesses.
Monday-Friday from 9:00am-3:00pm, 15 volunteer peer leaders staff the Welcome desk, supervise the maintenance of the building, operate a snack bar, man the Thrift Store, answer the telephone, greet members, orient new members, lead activities, and facilitate support groups.
Paradise Center is proud to be a consumer-run organization with over 500 members. About 80 different members come to our Center everyday. Many take the city bus for an hour or longer just to get here. Most of us have had mental illnesses our enitre adult lives. Without the friendships at Paradise Center, we would be home alone, isolated and without hope.
